Our group joining safaris operates under certain conditions. These conditions are in place to facilitate smooth operations as we are dealing with individuals who may not be familiar with each other. Understanding the conditions will put you in a better position to know what to expect during a group safari. This will help you avoid frustration from unexpected events.
Itinerary Customization:
Itinerary Customization: Please note that our group joining safaris currently have fixed itineraries that cannot be customized. We offer group joining safaris ranging from 2 to 5 days safari in the national parks.
Non-Private Vehicle:
All members of your group will share the same safari vehicle during game drives. Your operator can provide either a 4WD Land Cruiser or Land Rover. Vans are suitable for larger groups, while 4WDs are better suited for groups of 4 to 8 people.
However, please expect to switch safari vehicles during your safari, especially at nearby national parks, on the first or last days. This may not affect your game-viewing experience.
Less Flexibility:
A typical safari day lasts for about 9-11 hours, including pick-up, drop-off, and game drives. Itineraries are fixed since you will be traveling in a group, which means that there is less flexibility to spend more time at a particular location. Scheduled meal times and bathroom breaks are also included.
Different Accommodations:
Various accommodation options are available, allowing travelers to tailor their experience to their preferred style and budget. While some may choose to stay in a lodge, others may opt for a tent however, all locations will be in close proximity. Therefore, on certain group tours, clients may spend an additional 20 minutes travelling in the land cruiser before and after the game drives.
Time is Beyond Your Control.
Delays may be experienced as not all members of the group will be staying in the same camp or lodge before or during the safari. Let’s hope that all travelers will be considerate of time.
Delays in Pickup:
As we collect clients from various pickup points, any delay on the part of one client can affect the schedule of every other client in the group joining the tour. Therefore, we kindly request that everyone strictly adheres to the timings shared with you by your briefing manager.
A pickup vehicle, either a Landcruiser or transfer vehicle, can wait for a maximum of 20 minutes. After that, the pickup vehicle may depart based on the decision of our operations manager. In such cases, clients may have the option to pay for separate transfer costs, convert their group joining safari into a private safari by paying additional fees, or reschedule their group joining safari to the next available date. Rescheduling fees will apply in such cases.
Although we make every effort to adhere to the schedule, clients on group safaris should anticipate some delay in the arrival of our vehicle. Often, we must pick up clients from various locations in town before reaching your destination. This means that while the pick-up may begin at 7:30, your pick-up time may be as late as 8:30. If you are the last person to be picked up, the safari will commence from that point.
